Statement as of 7:25 AM CST on November 21, 2009 ... Dense fog advisory remains in effect until 10 am CST this morning... A dense fog advisory remains in effect until 10 am CST this morning. Widespread fog is expected this morning... with lowest visibilities 1/2 mile or less having the greatest impact on travel until about 10 am. Also... be alert for icy spots on bridges caused by the fog. Visibility should begin improving around 10 am this morning. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Rochester international Airport had an average temperature of 44.2 degrees. This was 10.4 degrees above the normal of 33.8 degrees.
