... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* timing... light snow showers will continue through at least part
of the afternoon. However... northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with
gusts to 50 mph will continue... causing areas of blowing snow.
Conditions should improve by early evening.

* Main impact... rapid reductions in visibility are likely... from
blowing snow... especially along west to east roads. Some roads
may be snow or ice covered. This will make travel hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.

39 mph or gusts between 45 to 57 mph are expected. Winds this
