Special Statement
Statement as of 8:24 AM CDT on April 19, 2015

... Locally dense fog will continue this morning...

Areas of dense fog will continue for the next several hours...
until rain moves into the area from the south this morning and a
frontal boundary allows northwest winds to remove the fog from the
area by noon today. Across the region this morning expect pockets
of near zero visibility. Once rain develops... visibility will
improve across the region.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling across the
region this morning. Use low beam headlights... allow extra time
to reach your destination safely... allow extra distance between
you and vehicles ahead of you... and be extra cautious near
intersections and Railroad crossings as vehicles and approaching
trains may be hidden by the fog.
