Issued: 2:52 PM CST Feb. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard Warning remains in effect from 7 PM this evening to
6 PM CST Monday...

* occasional blizzard conditions to develop around 7
PM... diminishing during the afternoon Monday.

* Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will cause whiteout conditions
in blowing snow. Significant drifting will also be seen...
especially in rural and open areas.

* Total snow accumulations up to 2 inches is expected from snow
showers.

* Travel will be very difficult to impossible... including the
Monday morning commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions... making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If
you must travel... have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded... stay with your vehicle. The latest Road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
