Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 6:49 AM CST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* short term trends... visibilities will continue to drop down in
intermittent snow showers with strong gusty northwest winds this
morning. The combination of strong wind and falling snow will
continue to produce blowing and drifting snow.

* Winds/visibility... northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45
mph. Visibility will be reduced to around one half mile at
times... and spotty areas down to near zero especially in rural
open areas.

* Impacts... travel may be difficult today due to icy snow covered
roads from blowing and drifting snow and lowered visibilities.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be
prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and
use caution while driving especially in open areas.
