Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 12:36 PM EDT on September 02, 2015

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
southwestern Delta County in south central Upper Michigan...

* until 330 PM EDT

* at 1234 PM EDT... local law enforcement reported heavy rain and
minor flooding over portions of northern Menominee County due to
heavy thunderstorms. These heavy thunderstorms are now moving
across southwestern Delta County... mainly south of Gladstone and
Cornell. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Escanaba... Ford River... Bark River... Hyde and schaeffer.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
