... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 am EST
Thursday...

Hazardous weather...

* snow showers will will continue tonight. The bands of snow
   will persist through Wednesday night.

* Snow will be heavy at times... with snow rates in excess of an
   inch per hour possible.

* Winds from the northwest occasionally gusting to 35 mph...
   producing periods of near zero visibility tonight through
   Wednesday morning.

* This will be a prolonged snow event... through Thursday morning.
   6 to 12 inches of snow will occur by Thursday morning.
   Localized higher amounts are possible.

Impacts...

* roads will be snow covered and slippery.

* Travel through Thursday morning be slow and hazardous. This
   includes portions of interstates 94 and 196 along with Route
   31. An increased risk for multiple vehicle pileups will exist.

* Road salt will become less effective into tonight as
   temperatures drop into the teens. The cold air will continue
   over the region through Thursday.
