Statement as of 6:52 AM EST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening...

Hazardous weather...

* precipitation will begin as snow between 8 and 10 am... mixing
with sleet. 2 to 4 inches of snow and sleet is expected.

* Periods of freezing rain are possible between around 1 PM and
7 PM. Up to a tenth of an inch of ice is expected.

* Heaviest precipitation is expected between 10 am and 4 PM.

Impacts...

* the combination of snow and ice will cause untreated roads to
   become hazardous.

* Reduced visibility in moderate to briefly heavy snow.

* Conditions will be particularly hazardous on secondary roads
as liquid precipitation will freeze easier.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* a Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...
sleet... and freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be
prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and
   use caution while driving.

* Prepare... plan... and stay informed. Visit

Special Statement
Statement as of 7:22 AM EST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 7 PM this evening...

Light snow will overspread the area during the next few hours and
persist during the morning. Accumulations of 1 or 2 inches can be
expected during the course of the morning as both the coverage and
intensity of the snow increases. Drive with care as some area
roads will become increasingly snow covered and slick as this snow
becomes more widespread.
