Statement as of 9:34 PM EST on November 21, 2009 ... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am EST Sunday... The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 10 am EST Sunday. Widespread dense fog will develop across the area tonight. Visibility will drop to one quarter of a mile or less at times... making travel hazardous. The fog will gradually lift during the late morning hours on Sunday. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
