Special Statement
Statement as of 1:57 AM EDT on March 31, 2015

... Mixed rain and snow during the early morning...

A band of mixed rain and snow will continue to spread west to east
over the region during the early morning. The highest
precipitation rates will occur roughly along the I-69 to M-59
corridor... and with a gradual change to more snow than rain. This
will result in a slushy accumulation around 1 inch between 2 am
and 5 am... and mainly on unpaved surfaces.

Farther north... through the Tri Cities and northern thumb...
precipitation will be mostly snow but will be lighter and
accumulate less.

Visibility restriction for motorists will be the main concern as
snowfall rates increase. Wet roads could also develop slick
spots... especially on elevated surfaces.
