... A band of heavy snow moving through the region this morning...

Weather...

* a band of heavy snow along the M-59 corridor will move toward
   the I-96/696 to I-94 corridors between 5 am and 7 am.

* A slushy accumulation around 1 inch is expected.

* Air temperatures will range between 30 and 35 degrees.

Impacts...

* a slushy and wet accumulation of snow will lead to slippery
   conditions on untreated roads particularly on bridges... exit
   ramps... and overpasses.

* Heavy snow will cause reductions of visibility for motorists
   during the peak travel period.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* motorists are urged to use caution and account for poor driving conditions
   by slowing down and allowing extra time.
