... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to 4 am
PST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to
4 am PST Saturday.

* Timing... snow will increase tonight and continue into the early
morning hours on Saturday

* main impact... about 4 to 10 inches of new snow is expected
tonight with the highest amounts at Mount Baker and Mount
Rainier. Lower accumulations are expected at Stevens and
Snoqualmie Pass. The snow level will start out near 4500 feet
then lower to near 3000 feet after midnight.

* Other impacts... snowfall and low visibility could create
hazardous driving conditions in the Cascades overnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
