Special Statement
Issued: 4:05 AM CST Feb. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Lake enhanced snow showers for Porter County Indiana today
and tonight...

Snow showers will become frequent in Porter County this morning.
The snow will become More Lake enhanced meaning it is likely to be
stronger in intensity at times... bringing brief sharp reductions
in visibility... especially for the northern part of the County.
Quick accumulations are likely. For the most part these
accumulations are anticipated to be minor. The northeast part of
the County is likely to see snowfall totals in excess of two
inches by midnight tonight... with some locations possibly
receiving up to four inches.

Motorists across Porter County... including those traveling on
interstates 80... 90... and 94... should allow for extra travel time
and be prepared for quickly varying visibility.
