Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:46 PM EST Feb. 11, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 1 am to 7 am EST
Friday...

The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory... which is in effect from 1 am to 7 am EST
Friday.

* Intense lake effect snow showers will occur late tonight in
central and northern Chippewa County.

* Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will occur late
tonight. Accumulations will be as high as 4 to 5 inches near and
north of Paradise... with smaller amounts elsewhere.

* Visibilities will be near zero during heavier snow showers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for lake effect snow means that periods
of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for
snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution
while driving.
