... Lake effect Snow Advisory in effect until 7 am EST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a lake
effect Snow Advisory for lake effect snow... and blowing snow
... Which is in effect until 7 am EST Saturday.

Hazardous weather...

* light to moderate lake effect snow will develop this morning and
   continue through tonight.

* Northwest winds will increase up to 25 mph through late this
   morning... leading to increased blowing snow and reduced
   visibilities to one half mile or less.

* Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches can be expect through tonight
   for locations north of a line from Chicago Lake to McMillan.
   Southeast of that line snow totals will range from around 2 to 4
   inches. Locations southwest of McFarland to Nahma junctions are
   expected to see an inch or less through tonight.

* Wind chill readings will be as low as 25 below zero late this
   morning will continue through tonight.

Impacts...

* roads will become snow covered and slippery.

* Blowing snow will reduce visibilities to one mile or less at
   times.

* Wind chill values to 25 below zero can lead to frost bite on
   exposed skin in as little as 15 minutes.
