... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 am EST Sunday...
... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from 2 am to 10 am EST
Sunday...

* locations... coastal Hancock County.

* Hazard types... snow and blowing snow through this evening.
Dangerously cold wind chills late tonight into Sunday morning.

* Snow accumulations... 8 to 14 inches in far southwest Hancock
County in areas such as Deer Isle and on some of the outer
islands to the west of Swans Island. Amounts will drop off to
2 inches or less to the east in areas such as Ellsworth and
mdi.

* Timing... snow will occur through this evening..mainly across
southwest Hancock County. Dangerously cold wind chills are
expected late tonight into Sunday morning.

* Impacts... locally heavy snowfall along with areas of blowing
snow will result in difficult driving conditions. Frostbite
and hypothermia are likely if not dressed appropriately while
outdoors late tonight.

* Winds... north 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Temperatures... teens this afternoon falling below zero tonight.

* Wind chill readings... as low as 25 below late tonight into
Sunday morning.

* Visibilities... 1/4sm or less in heavier bands of snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
