Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 2:24 PM MST on March 02, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM MST Tuesday...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 PM this
evening to 6 PM MST Tuesday.

* Summary and timing... north winds will increase this evening and
snow will begin to fall around sunset or shortly thereafter.
Periods of moderate snow and strong wind will continue through
the day on Tuesday before tapering off Tuesday evening.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 4 inches with up to 6 inches
possible west of Buffalo.

* Wind and visibility... north wind will increase through the
evening with sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph and gusts over
50 mph possible by midnight near Buffalo... the strong winds
will continue through Tuesday morning. Periods of moderate
snow and blowing snow will drop visibility below one mile for
several hours tonight into Tuesday. Wind chills will be near
20 below zero at times.

* Impacts... snowfall will create snow packed roadways resulting
in difficult travel... including interstates 25 and 90 through
Johnson County. Windy conditions will create low visibility
and low wind chills tonight and Tuesday which could be deadly
to Newborn livestock and could cause frost bite to humans and
animals who are left exposed to the conditions for an extended
period of time.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and blowing
snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

The latest Road conditions provided by the Wyoming Department of
Transportation are available by calling 5-1-1 or on the internet
