Special Statement
Statement as of 3:27 PM MDT on March 28, 2015

... Gusty wind and unseasonably warm temperatures today...

A cold front will push across the Big Horn basin during this
afternoon. This will cause a period of strong and gusty
wind. A west to southwest wind will switch to the northwest during
the late afternoon early evening as the cold front passes. A
northwest wind will increase to 20 to 35 mph with gusts of 40 to 55
mph common.

The combination of the unseasonably warm temperatures and gusty wind
will create elevated fire concerns. Therefore... residents are advised
not to conduct any agricultural burning today. Any fire could rapidly
spread through fine fuels such as grasses and small vegetation.
