the Ohio River at Cairo.
* Until late Friday night.
* At 10:00 am Wednesday the stage was 40.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will hold steady this afternoon and then begin
falling. The river will fall below flood stage Friday evening.
* Impact... at 40.0 feet... minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
agricultural bottomland and low lying areas.

... Light wintry precipitation expected this afternoon...

Light snow showers will be impacting communities this afternoon as
we head toward school and work departure times. With temperatures
remaining below freezing... even very minimal amounts of
precipitation could impact pavetops... mainly untreated walk or
Road surfaces. Light sleet or melted snow could mix with the light
snow at times. Whiting of the ground is possible... but mainly on
grassy surfaces.
