The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at Grand Chain dam.
* Until Saturday morning.
* At 6:00 am Wednesday the stage was 42.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 42.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Saturday morning.
* Impact... at 42.0 feet... this will cause minor flooding of mainly low
lying areas.

the Ohio River at Brookport dam.
* Until Saturday morning.
* At 8:00 am Wednesday the stage was 37.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Saturday morning.
* Impact... at 37.0 feet... minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
agricultural bottomland and low lying areas.

Snow showers will continue early this evening across portions of
southern Illinois and west Kentucky generally east of a Carbondale
Illinois... Cadiz Kentucky line. Some light snows will continue to
expand into portions of southwest Indiana... .mainly across
Posey County... and possibly Gibson and Vanderburgh counties.

Many areas will see a dusting to one half inch accumulation... some
areas slightly more. Expect slick spots to create hazardous travel
conditions in some areas as Road surfaces cool with nightfall. Use
caution this evening. This includes areas where snows have
recently ended.
