Special Statement
Statement as of 2:35 PM PDT on March 30, 2015

... Rapid change to colder weather Tuesday...

A potent Spring cold front will move across the area tonight into
Tuesday. Mild weather will give way to a much colder air mass
Tuesday that is expected to generally persist into next weekend.
Away from the coast... high temperatures Tuesday will be 15-25
degrees lower than today. The front will bring a period of light
to moderate precipitation tonight, followed by showery weather
with isolated thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday. The air mass
will be cold enough that some of the heavier showers may contain
small hail or graupel. Snow levels may reach down as low as 3000
feet Tuesday night into Wednesday. A cold air mass late this week
may bring frost or freezing conditions to the inland valleys.

Those intending to travel... have outdoor plans... or have
sensitive outdoor plants... should stay tuned for additional
updates regarding this sharp change to colder weather.
