Saturday...
... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST Sunday...

* accumulations... while there will be a lot of variability in
snowfall amounts... 6 to 8 inches of snow is expected tonight
where the stronger bands set up. An additional 3 to 6 inches
is possible on Saturday. A few locations could see a total of
15 inches or more of snow by Saturday evening.

* Timing... lake effect snow bands will develop and be heavy at
times tonight. The snow will continue into Saturday before
gradually diminishing Saturday night.

* Wind chill... wind chills will dip below minus10 by midnight and
could get as low as minus 20 at times late tonight. Dangerous
wind chills will remain in the area through Sunday morning.

* Impacts... snow covered roads and reduced visibility during
heavier snow showers and squalls. Dangerous wind chills can
result in frostbite or hypothermia in minutes. Frigid
temperatures could freeze water pipes.

* Winds... northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Temperatures... lows tonight from 5 above to 5 below with highs
Saturday from 10 to 15 degrees. Lows Saturday night could be
as cold as minus 10 at traditional cold spots.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory is issued when strong wind will combine
with cold temperatures to create dangerously cold conditions for
exposed skin. The wind will make it feel like it is 10 degrees
below zero or colder for a period of several hours. If you will be
outdoors use common sense and dress warmly... making sure that all
exposed skin is covered. Stay tuned to weather radio for further
details or updates.

In lake effect snow the weather can vary from locally heavy snow
in narrow bands to dry weather just a few miles away. If you will
be traveling across the region be prepared for rapid changes in
Road and visibility conditions. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio
for further details or updates.
