... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 9 am this morning to
5 am EST Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 9 am this
morning to 5 am EST Tuesday.

* Locations... Litchfield County Connecticut.

* Hazard types... snow.

* Accumulations... 3 to 5 inches. The highest amounts will be in
southeastern parts of the County.

* Timing... snow will spread from southeast to northwest across
Litchfield County during the mid to late morning hours. On and
off light snow will occur during the afternoon and evening
hours... and taper off tonight.

* Impacts... snow covered roadways and poor visibility will make
for hazardous travel at times.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... in the mid to upper 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
