Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 9:32 AM CST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
today...

* timing... light snow will gradually taper off this afternoon.
However... northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to around
or over 45 mph will continue... causing areas of drifting snow.
Conditions should improve by afternoon.

* Main impact... locally reduced visibilities are likely...
especially along west to east roads. This will make travel
hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.

Wind Advisory
Issued: 9:32 AM CST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory now in effect until 6 PM CST this evening...

* timing... strong northwest winds will continue through this
afternoon before diminishing by early evening.

* Winds... northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to around or
over 45 mph.

* Impacts... winds of this magnitude will be hazardous to
motorists... especially those with high profile vehicles. In
addition... areas of blowing snow will create hazardous travel
conditions in parts of the area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds between 30 to
39 mph or gusts between 45 to 57 mph are expected. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution.
