Watches & Warnings

Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:51 PM CST Feb. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 5 PM EST /4 PM CST/
Monday to 6 PM EST /5 PM CST/ Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for light snow and travel impacts... which is in
effect from 5 PM EST /4 PM CST/ Monday to 6 PM EST /5 PM CST/
Tuesday.

* Timing... Monday evening through at least Tuesday evening.

* Main impact... periods of moderate, to briefly heavy, snow
showers will impact travel at times. Roads may become snow
covered, especially secondary and untreated surfaces.

* Other impacts... gusty winds along with moderate snow showers may
reduce visibility at times. Additionally, wind chill values will
drop into the lower teens Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Research shows that more traffic accidents occur with an inch or
less of snow... before drivers realize that traction is reduced.
Don't become a statistic... slow down and leave extra distance
between vehicles.
