Watches & Warnings

Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 1:54 PM CST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM EST /5 PM
CST/ Tuesday...

* timing... late this afternoon through at least Tuesday evening.

* Main impact... periods of moderate to briefly heavy snow
showers will impact travel at times. Roads may become slick
and snow covered... especially secondary and untreated
surfaces.

* Other impacts... gusty winds along with moderate snow showers may
reduce visibility at times. Also wet roadways may become slick
overnight as temperatures drop.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Research shows that more traffic accidents occur with an inch or
less of snow... before drivers realize that traction is reduced.
Don't become a statistic... slow down and leave extra distance
between vehicles.
