Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 3:27 PM EST on March 02, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 am to 1 PM EST
Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for a mix of sleet and freezing rain... which is in
effect from 7 am to 1 PM EST Tuesday.

* Hazard types... light freezing rain possibly beginning as or
mixing with sleet.

* Accumulations... light ice accumulation via sleet and freezing
rain up to a tenth of an inch.

* Timing... areas of light freezing rain mixed with sleet will spread
across the area during the morning hours... changing to rain by
noon.

* Impacts... light amounts of icing will cause some roads and
sidewalks to become slippery. Use caution when outdoors as areas
that look wet may be icy. If you must drive... be cautious as you
may encounter ice on roads.

* Temperatures... rising from the 20s around sunrise into the lower
30s by early afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Remember... a Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of
sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be
prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use
caution while driving. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or your
favorite source of information for the latest updates. Additional
details can also be found at www.Weather.Gov/iln... as well as on
our facebook and twitter pages.
