* At 5:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 25.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
rise to near 31.7 feet by after midnight tonight.The river will
fall below flood stage by tomorrow evening.
* Impact... at 31.6 feet... lock walls overtopped.

* From this evening to Thursday morning... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 4:15 PM Wednesday the stage was 18.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
to near 20.6 feet by after midnight tonight.The river will fall
below flood stage by early tomorrow.
* Impact... at 20.0 feet... residential basement flooding in Sutersville
begins in homes along the right bank. Flooding also begins in the
West Newton business District 5 miles upstream.
