Wednesday for Pyramid Lake...

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a blowing dust
advisory... which is in effect from 1 PM to 9 PM PDT Wednesday. A
lake Wind Advisory for Pyramid Lake remains in effect from 1 PM
to 9 PM PDT Wednesday.

* Winds: southwest 15 to 20 with gusts to 35 mph. Gusts up to 40
mph for the Black Rock Desert.

* Wave heights: 2 to 3 feet. Highest waves along north and east
shores.

* Small boats will be prone to capsizing and should remain off
lake waters until conditions improve.

* Visibility and timing: dust will begin to loft after 11 am and
settle around midnight. 1 to 2 miles of visibility with periods
down to half a mile with worst conditions from 1 PM to 9 PM.

* Impacts: reduced visibility will create difficult driving
conditons and limit reaction time around pedestrians. Poorly
secured outdoor items may be damaged. There will also be health
concerns for those without eye protection or breathing masks.

... Red flag warning in effect from 1 PM to 9 PM PDT Wednesday for
gusty winds and low humidity for portions of northeast California
and western and west-central Nevada...

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a red flag
warning for gusty winds and low humidity... which is in effect
from 1 PM to 9 PM PDT Wednesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no
longer in effect as it has been upgraded to a warning.

* Affected area... fire zone 278 eastern Lassen County... fire
zone 450 western Nevada Sierra front... fire zone 453 west
central Nevada basin and range and fire zone 458 northern
Washoe County.

* Winds... southwest to west 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* Humidity... between 8 and 15%.

* Impacts... the combination of gusty winds and low humidity will
create critical fire weather conditions.
