Wind Advisory
Issued: 2:19 PM EST Feb. 12, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory in effect from 6 am to 6 PM EST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 6 am to 6 PM EST Saturday.

* Locations... the Poconos, much of the southeast Pennsylvania,
southern New Jersey, all of the immediate New Jersey coast, a
large portion of Maryland's Eastern Shore adjacent Chesapeake
Bay, as well as Delaware, especially from Wilmington southeast
to Lewes.

* Winds... northwest 20 to 30 mph with scattered gusts 45 to 55 mph.

* Timing... winds will pick up suddenly near dawn Saturday and may
immediately gust past 45 mph. There appears to a greater chance
of northwest wind gusts between 45 and 55 mph Saturday afternoon.
If gusts near 50 mph occur as expected Saturday, this advisory
may eventually have to be extended into Saturday evening.

* Impacts... a possibility of a few broken tree limbs and associated
power outages. Driving will be difficult at times, especially
for high profile vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that very windy conditions are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Light-weight outdoor
objects such as patio furniture and garbage cans should be
secured.
