Statement as of 11:28 AM CST on March 04, 2015

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 3 PM this
afternoon to 9 am CST Thursday...

* timing... from 3 PM CST Wednesday through 9 am CST Thursday.

* Accumulations... 3 to 6 inches of snow and sleet are expected...
with the highest amounts closer to the Kentucky state line and
lowest amounts near Interstate 40. Locally higher amounts will
be possible... especially for areas near the Kentucky state
line. Freezing rain accumulations may be around a tenth of an
inch.

* Main impact... precipitation will change to freezing rain and
sleet by mid afternoon... then all snow around midnight. This
mixed precipitation will create major travel impacts from
Wednesday afternoon through Friday afternoon.

* Other impacts... temperatures are likely to stay below freezing
from Wednesday night through mid day Friday. This will likely
keep many roadways slick and hazardous for an extended period
of time.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

* Flood Warning for...
northwestern Rutherford County...
Smith County...
southern Sumner County...
Trousdale County...
Williamson County...
Wilson County...
southern Dickson County...
southern Cheatham County...
Clay County...
Davidson County...
Jackson County...
Macon County...

* until 1015 PM CST...

* at 411 PM CST... flooding was reported from Wilson Creek in the
town of Arrington in Williamson County. Rainfall totals of 1 to 2
inches has fallen in this area... and across much of the region from
around I-40 northward. Additional rainfall amounts of up to an inch
will be possible in the warned area and could lead to further roads
become flooded... especially near creeks and rivers before rain
changes to a wintry mix.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include... Metro
Nashville... Franklin... Dickson... Gallatin... Lafayette and
surrounding communities.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. Most flooding deaths occur in automobiles. Turn around dont
drown!

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of floods and flash floods.
