Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 3:47 PM CDT on May 22, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from Saturday afternoon
through Monday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of southeast Kansas... including the following
areas... Allen... Chautauqua... Elk... Greenwood... Labette...
Montgomery... Neosho... Wilson and Woodson.

* From Saturday afternoon through Monday morning.

* Showers and storms will increase in coverage by Saturday
afternoon and continue through Sunday night. Between 2 and 4
inches of rainfall will be possible through Sunday night which
will likely lead to flooding. Flash flooding will be possible
along with river flooding.

* Those with outdoor plans along creeks and streams need to
monitor the weather situation this weekend.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Remember to turn around... don't drown.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
