Statement as of 2:30 AM CDT on July 02, 2015

... A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 800 am CDT for
Christian... Dade... Douglas... Greene... northern Lawrence... southern
Cedar... southern Webster... southern Wright and southwestern Texas
counties...

At 222 am CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across much of the warned
area. Rainfall amounts since midnight have generally ranged from 1
to locally 3 inches.

Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to
occur. Creeks... streams and low water crossings will be especially
susceptible to the dangers of flash flooding.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...

Route cc west of Fair Grove at the Pomme de Terre River...
Route u at pedelo creek northeast of Sparta...
Scenic Avenue in southwest Springfield.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue during much of the overnight
hours with additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Flooding will worsen overnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur
in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered
bridges... dips... or low water crossings.
