The National Weather Service in Jackson KY has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
southwestern Laurel County in south central Kentucky...
southeastern Pulaski County in south central Kentucky...
northeastern McCreary County in south central Kentucky...
northwestern Whitley County in south central Kentucky...

* until 1015 PM EDT

* at 816 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow-
moving thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding of creeks and
streams... roads... and roadside culverts... especially in low
lying and poor drainage areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Liberty... Grove... Redbird... Beulah Heights... krupp... Youngs
Creek... Holly Bay rec. Area... bent... Cumberland Falls S.P... .Valley
Oak... Honeybee... Bobtown... Mount Victory... Clio... Huxley... Bark
Camp... grade... Dabney... Rockcastle Springs and Duckrun.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
