Nowcast | as of 6:55 PM CDT on July 6, 2015

At 6:55 PM...Doppler radars detected an extensive line of thunderstorms across southeast Kansas dropping southeast toward northeast Oklahoma. This activity was nearing the northwest corner of Osage County. Additional scattered showers were ongoing over far northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Through 9:00 PM...showers and thunderstorms will be increasing in coverage across portions of northeast Oklahoma...roughly along and north of a Pawnee to hollow line. Across these areas...periods of very heavy rainfall...gusty winds and dangerous lightning are likely. The relatively slow movement of this convection will likely result in some flooding issues...so residents are urged to remain alert for rapidly changing conditions.
