Nowcast | as of 2:25 PM CDT on September 17, 2014

At 2:25 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars indicated a complex of showers and thunderstorms moving southeast out of Missouri and into far northwest Arkansas. This activity was moving southeast at around 20 mph...and affecting locations east of a Pea Ridge to Delmar line. Through 4:00 PM...scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to drop southeast out of Missouri and into northwest Arkansas. Additional development further westward will likely occur during this time. Locations mainly east of a Miller to Kingston line will have the higher chances of being affected. Most locations can expect occasional light to moderate rainfall...with average hourly rainfall rates of one tenth to one quarter inch. The stronger storms will be capable of producing locally heavy downpours...hail and gusty winds. In the heavier downpours... rainfall rates may exceed one inch per hour.
