Nowcast | as of 1:37 PM CDT on September 20, 2014

At 1:37 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars continued to detect widely scattered rain developing over portions of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas...mainly along and north of Highway 412. All this activity was moving toward the northeast...around 25 miles per hour. Through 3:00 PM...widely scattered rain showers and possibly an isolated thunderstorm will remain possible across the forecast area this afternoon. Most locations will remain dry...however where the showers occur the precipitation will be light and brief. If any of the showers or storms become strong...they could produce brief moderate rainfall...along with cloud to ground lightning. No severe weather is expected.
