Tuesday
Numerous snow showers in the morning...then numerous rain and snow showers in the afternoon. Snow level near 7000 feet. Snow accumulation 1 or 2 inches...except 2 to 4 inches above 7500 feet. Highs in the 30s to lower 40s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.
Rain and snow in the evening...then snow showers after midnight. Snow level near 6500 feet. Snow accumulation 1 to 3 inches...except 3 to 5 inches above 7500 feet. Lows in the mid teens to lower 30s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
Wednesday
Snow showers likely in the morning...then snow likely in the afternoon. Highs in the 20s to mid 30s. West winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the northwest 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.
Breezy. Partly cloudy with a slight chance of snow showers. Colder. Lows 5 to 25. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph decreasing to 10 to 20 mph after midnight.

Partly cloudy with a slight chance of snow showers. Highs in the mid 20s to upper 30s.

The Winter Storm Watch is now in effect from Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon.
* Snow accumulations... significant accumulations are possible across the northwest mountains and adjacent Highlands Tuesday through Wednesday. The heaviest accumulations are expected across the southwest facing slopes where over 8 inches of snow is expected.
* Timing... snow will begin Tuesday afternoon... but will increase in coverage and intensity Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The snow may be heavy at times especially late Tuesday night.
* Winds... widespread significant winds are not expected.
* Snow levels... temperatures will be initially be cold enough for snow at all locations Tuesday morning... however locations below 7000 feet may mix with or change over to rain for a time Tuesday afternoon before changing back to snow again later Tuesday afternoon or evening.
* Local impacts... hazardous driving conditions are possible across the watch area. Visibilities may be reduced Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in falling and blowing snow. Roadways may become snow packed and icy for Holiday travelers.
