Nowcast | as of 11:45 am EDT on August 30, 2014

Deep moisture over east central Florida will favor another round of afternoon lightning storms...especially across the interior. Isolated showers are expected to develop along the coast as the East Coast sea breeze moves inland...however...mid and high level clouds across the space coast will delay daytime heating and reduce rain chances even further across Brevard and Indian River County. Afternoon thunderstorms will favor inland areas today...especially west of the St. John's river. Frequent lightning...wind gusts to 40 mph...and quick 2 to 3 inch downpours will be the primary hazards from today's activity.
