The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
south central Orange County in east central Florida...
north central Osceola County in east central Florida...

* until 900 PM EDT

* at 701 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain near 2 inches
has fallen in a very short period of time and an additional one to
two inches is expected through 730 PM. This will cause Urban and
Small Stream flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Orlando... Kissimmee... Winter Park... Wedgefield and Buena Ventura
lakes.

The Flood Watch continues for

* east central Florida... including
Brevard... Indian River... Lake... Martin... Okeechobee...
Orange... Osceola... Seminole... Saint Lucie and Volusia counties.

* Through this evening.

* Deep tropical moisture over the region will continue to create a
threat for heavy rainfall across east central Florida today.
Additional rainfall up to 3 inches will be possible.

* Heavy rain may create significant flooding of streets... urban
areas... and low lying flood prone areas especially where showers
and storms move repeatedly over the same areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
