... The Flood Warning will expire at 430 PM EDT northeastern
Hillsborough... southwestern Pasco and Pinellas counties...

The heavy rain has ended.

Although the areal Flood Warning for heavy rainfall is being allowed
to expire... there are areas of residual standing water and street
flooding still in place. Please continue to heed the advice of local
law enforcement and emergency management for travel concerns.

Also... river flood warnings remain in effect for several area
rivers... including the Anclote River at Elfers... Cypress
Creek... Hillsborough River at zephryhills... and little Manatee at
Wimauma.

Statement as of 11:00 AM EDT on August 03, 2015

... Flood Watch now in effect through Tuesday evening...

The Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of FL and west central Florida... including the
following in FL... coastal ... Citrus... coastal Hernando...
coastal Hillsborough... coastal Levy... coastal Pasco... inland
Citrus... inland Hernando... inland Hillsborough... inland Levy
and inland Pasco. In west central Florida... Pinellas.

* Through Tuesday evening

* the potential for continued excessive rainfall through today
with localized additional accumulation totals exceeding 5
inches. Rainfall is expected to be less widespread on
Tuesday... however any additional localized rainfall will renew
the areal flooding threat.

* Highly saturated soils and the potential for additional heavy
rainfall will continue the risk of widespread areal and street
flooding. If possible... clear drainage systems of any debris
which may become clogged in flooding rains.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible during the next
24 to 36 hours. Residents living in flood prone areas should take
action to protect property.

... High rip current risk now in effect through late tonight...

... Minor coastal flooding likely at times of high tide through
tonight...

* coastal flooding... a moderate onshore wind flow will cause tides
to run 1 to 2 feet above astronomical values through tonight
which is expected to cause some minor coastal flooding at times
of high tide.

* Coastal flood timing... minor coastal flooding could occur this
afternoon a couple of hours either side of high tide... and again
during the after midnight high tide cycle.

* Coastal flood impacts... minor coastal flooding is expected to
occur. Residents in flood prone areas should take necessary
actions to protect life and property.
