... Freeze warning in effect from 1 am to 10 am CDT Saturday...
... Freeze warning in effect from 11 PM Saturday to 9 am CDT
Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a freeze
warning... which is in effect from 1 am to 10 am CDT Saturday. A
freeze warning has also been issued from 11 PM Saturday to 9 am
CDT Sunday.

* Timing and areas affected... north Alabama and portions of southern
middle Tennessee from 1 am CDT through 10 am CDT on Saturday
morning... and again from 11 PM CDT Saturday night through 9 am CDT
on Sunday morning.

* Temperature... between 25 to 32 degrees for a duration of 5 to 9
hours early Saturday morning and 6 to 10 hours late Saturday night
and early Sunday morning.

* Impacts... any living vegetation and crops that are susceptible to
freezing temperatures may be damaged or killed. In addition to the
long duration of below freezing temperatures... clear skies and calm
winds Saturday night and Sunday morning may combine to create
widespread frost across the area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other

... Freezing temperatures are expected across the Tennessee Valley
this weekend...

A strong cold front will bring much colder temperatures across the
area late tonight and through the weekend. Freezing temperatures are
expected both Saturday and Sunday mornings. The best chance for
freezing temperatures will be over northeast Alabama and southern
middle Tennessee. Morning lows on Saturday and Sunday morning will
range from 27 degrees to 32 degrees for 2 to 3 hours.

Living vegetation and crops that are susceptible to freezing
temperatures may be damaged or killed.
