Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where water covers the roadway. Low lying areas like retention
ponds and drainage ditches become hidden from view when flooded.
Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. When encountering
flooded roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
It takes only a few inches of flowing water to carry vehicles away.
