Scattered thunderstorms will continue to develop across interior South Florida to the Gulf Coast. The thunderstorms will have the potential of producing strong wind gusts...so stay tuned as special weather statements will be issued on the stronger thunderstorms which develop. Frequent lightning will also be a concern with the thunderstorms. Mariners on Lake Okeechobee as well as the Gulf waters should be alert for rapidly changing conditions. Lightning can strike over 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
