Scattered showers...moving northward at 15 mph over the southeast Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Straits...will continue to move northeastward over extreme South Florida. A few showers were moving into Broward County but the bulk of the weather will be over Miami Dade and the coastal waters off of Miami Dade County. Light rain but with gusty winds to 20 mph can be expected though rainfall up to one half inch may occur in the heavier showers. This activity will spread into downtown Miami Dade by 4 am and into southern Broward County by 5 am. Mariners can also expect higher winds and seas to develop in the areas of precipitation.
