Freezing Fog Advisory
Statement as of 9:39 PM MST on March 04, 2015

... Freezing fog advisory in effect until 8 am MST Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a freezing
fog advisory... which is in effect until 8 am MST Thursday.

* Location... Central Highlands and east slopes of the south
central mountains including Interstate 40 at and near Clines
Corners and Ruidoso and the Sierra Blanca Airport.

* Timing... for the remainder of tonight through Thursday morning.

* Visibility... 1/2 mile or less.

* Local impacts... difficult and potentially dangerous driving
conditions will materialize due to significant limitations to
visibility and ice developing on roads. This includes Interstate
40 near Clines Corners... Highway 285 near Vaughn... Encino and
Willard and Highway 70/380 from Ruidoso to Riverside.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freezing fog advisory means visibility will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. Freezing fog creates very
hazardous driving conditions. People are advised to avoid travel
if possible... but if travel is necessary... slow down... use your
low beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
Be especially cautious for black ice on bridges and overpasses.
