Special Statement
Statement as of 3:45 AM CST on March 02, 2015

... Winter precipitation possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning...

Arctic high pressure will swing south out of northwest Canada bringing
cold temperatures to the region beginning Wednesday evening. Moist
southwest flow aloft will allow for continued precipitation within
the cold airmass. As the evening progresses... rain will transition
to freezing rain followed by a mix of sleet and snow across the
region.

On Wednesday evening... rain will transition to freezing rain
along and northwest of a line from mainly Nacogdoches Texas to
Monroe Louisiana. After midnight... these areas will transition
from freezing rain to mix of snow and sleet while locations across
deep East Texas and north central Louisiana will experience a
transition from rain to freezing rain.

Total ice accumulations could average up to a tenth to a quarter
of an inch with snow and sleet accumulations from two to four
inches across southwest Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma with
lesser amounts elsewhere.
