Wind Advisory
Issued: 3:13 AM PST Feb. 7, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 4 PM PST
Monday...

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 4 PM
PST Monday. The high wind watch is no longer in effect.

* Winds... east to northeast 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 55 mph.
Locally higher gusts will be possible.

* Timing... winds increasing through today... peaking early Monday
morning... then weakening into Tuesday.

* Location... along the coastal mountain slopes and foothills... and
below favored passes and canyons.

* Visibility... locally reduced in blowing dust.

* Impacts... strong cross winds will be a potential hazard for high
profile vehicles. Broken tree limbs and other debris will be
possible.

* Outlook... winds of advisory strength may develop earlier today
in some wind-prone areas and continue into Tuesday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
