Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 6:21 PM CDT on April 27, 2015

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Dallas County in north central Texas...
Ellis County in north central Texas...

* until 815 PM CDT

* at 621 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a band of heavy rain that
extended from Grapevine to Mansfield to Grandview... moving east at
15 mph. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in the
advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dallas... Garland... Irving... Grand Prairie... Mesquite...
Carrollton... Richardson... Rowlett... DeSoto... Cedar Hill...
Coppell... Duncanville... Lancaster... Waxahachie... Farmers Branch...
Balch Springs... University Park... Sachse... Ennis and Midlothian.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
