Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms...some strong in intensity producing wind gusts to near 40 mph and small hail...will continue to possible this evening along and south of the Interstate 20 corridor of northeast Texas and northern Louisiana. A cold front across southern Oklahoma and southern Arkansas could become the focus for strong to severe thunderstorms later this evening as well. Expect brief heavy downpours with the stronger storms this evening.

Statement as of 10:24 AM CDT on June 29, 2015

The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River at Shreveport.
* Until Friday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:00 am Monday the stage was 30.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 31.0 feet by
tomorrow evening and hold, cresting near 31.0 feet.
The river will fall below flood stage Thursday evening.
* Impact... at 31 feet Russell Road will be overflowed and closed
between Blanchard Highway and Interstate 220 in North Shreveport.
Also expect backwater flooding up Cross Bayou, Twelve Mile bayou,
and lower mccain creek. High water will creep up to near southern
fant Parkway and near the Teague Parkway.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Red River at Coushatta.
* Until Saturday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10:00 am Monday the stage was 31.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 31.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 32.0 feet by
Wednesday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Friday
evening.
* Impact... at 31 feet minor flooding occur... minor backwater flooding
occurs from the confluence of the Red River with Loggy Bayou as well
as up through the Lower Flat river and lower Red Chute bayou in
southern Bossier Parish. Livestock and equipment should be moved to
higher ground.
